According to Forbes, South Korean startup Movin has secured 4 billion won (approximately $2.7 million) in pre-Series A funding to advance its AI-based real-time motion capture technology. This funding round was spearheaded by Atinum, with participation from notable investors such as Naver D2SF, DSC Investment, and Krew Capital.
Movin is poised to utilize this financial backing to expand its reach into 3D motion data for the emerging field of humanoid robot development. Central to Movin’s offering is Tracin, a Lidar-based motion capture system providing a cost-effective, rapid, and user-friendly alternative to conventional motion capture setups.

Expanding Global Footprint
With plans to open an office in Los Angeles, Movin aims to better serve its key clientele in the gaming industry, leveraging its integrated solutions with prominent game engines like Unity and Unreal.
